Fisker, the electric vehicle (EV) startup, is expanding its presence in Europe by entering three new markets. The company has launched in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, bringing the total number of European markets it operates in to ten. Fisker already operates in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The expansion into these new markets aligns with Fisker’s goal of establishing a strong presence in Europe early on. Customers in the three new markets can now visit country-specific websites to reserve and order the Fisker Ocean, the company’s electric SUV. Fisker will continue to use its direct-sales model in these markets, and customers will have access to Fisker service and sales support. The company plans to establish Fisker Lounge locations or delivery and service centers in or near major cities in these markets. Deliveries in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland are expected to begin by the end of September.

In addition to its European expansion, Fisker announced that it will start delivering the Ocean electric SUV in Canada in September. The company provided details on its strategy for the Canadian market, stating that it expects to complete homologation of the Ocean EV by September 7, after which customer deliveries can commence. Fisker estimates that most launch-edition Ocean One vehicle deliveries in Canada will be completed by the end of September.

Henrik Fisker expressed gratitude for the patience of future Canadian owners as the company ramps up its business in 2023. He noted that the Vancouver and Toronto areas have shown strong customer interest, and as a result, Fisker plans to establish retail and service locations, as well as Fisker-certified collision-repair centers, in both cities.

Fisker also intends to provide sales and service support in Canada, including mobile service with Fisker-trained technicians, and consumer financing through Scotiabank, its nominated retail financing partner. The company will offer pop-up test drive events in the Vancouver and Toronto areas in September, with more events planned for the fall.
