ADS-TEC Energy and eliso have joined forces in a strategic partnership to establish over 1000 ultra-fast charging points by 2025. The collaboration will see eliso installing and operating several hundred of ADS-TEC Energy’s storage-based fast-charging systems, specifically for EURONICS Deutschland eG, an electrical retail chain. The initial charging points are set to be installed this year.
The aim of this partnership is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by integrating easy charging solutions into daily routines. By utilizing ADS-TEC Energy’s innovative storage-based platform solutions, EV owners will have access to ultra-fast charging, even in areas with limited power grid connections, thereby making e-mobility more accessible and appealing.
Key points of this partnership include the incorporation of the ChargePost and ChargeBox platforms, along with long-term services. ADS-TEC Energy’s battery-buffered charging technology allows for rapid charging in minutes, delivering up to 320 kW of power, even in urban centers or remote locations with restricted grid access.
The ChargePost model combines battery-buffered charging with charging electronics and battery storage, and it also offers optional 75-inch monitors for high-definition advertising. On the other hand, the ChargeBox, with its compact design, provides flexibility in installation, allowing charging points to be placed within 100 meters, including indoors. It can draw power from the existing distribution grid and increase charging power to 320 kW.
In terms of public charging, eliso aims to create an extensive fast-charging network with strategic location partners such as Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport and EURONICS. ADS-TEC Energy’s solutions will contribute to stabilizing the grid by balancing renewable electricity supply and demand in real-time.
